5 Pushchairs for Under £100
Look no further if you are looking for a pushchair for under £100.
I have selected 5 pushchairs for under £100 that I think offer excellent value for money. These pushchairs also are useful to have as a secondary pushchair to have in the car and to use as a holiday pushchair.
Joie Nitro LX Stroller
At 7.7kg and providing a simple umbrella folding mechanism, the Nitro LX offers parents a sturdy, flexible and lightweight pushchair option. The seat on the Nitro LX can be used from birth as it has a lay-flat seat, although I prefer a sturdier bassinet for a newborn. See my pram suggestions for newborns.
The Nitro LX pushchair has a back height of 48.5cm and will be comfortable for up to an average 4-year-old (up to 22.5kg in weight). The hood is adjustable in height and can be removed. It also has a removable padded bumper bar which is useful for little ones who like to hold onto a bar, and offers some additional protection in crowded areas.
Chicco OhLaLa2 Stroller
If you are looking for an extremely light option, the Chicco OhLaLa2 Stroller is a pushchair to consider at a lightweight of 3.8kg. This is a pushchair bought by many to use on a holiday, and I think it would be a good option for city dwellings. Due to it being lightweight, it isn’t as sturdy as other pushchairs.
The pushchair is good to use up to around 3 years of age (15kg). It has a removable bumper bar and a combined handle which is useful for one-handed manoeuvring.
Familidoo Air Pushchair
The Familidoo Air is a good option for parents wanting a sturdy, but lightweight stroller. The pushchair is suitable for babies aged from 6 months. It weighs 5.2kg and has a detachable bike like handle/bumper bar for the little one. For the parent, there is a single handlebar which is useful for one-handed manoeuvering.
The pushchair has a multi-position adjustable backrest recline and has a generous size seat. This is a good holiday pushchair and comes with a travel bag. Unlike proceeding pushchairs, the Familidoo Air pushchair does not have an umbrella fold. Instead, it collapses via two hinge points to be more rectangular in size.
Mamas & Papas Cruise Stroller
The Mamas & Papas’ Cruise is a practical stroller for everyday use. It’s lightweight and suitable from birth with a lie-flat seat. Forgive me as I repeat myself, but for a newborn, I prefer using a pram. The lie-flat is useful when an older baby is ready for a nap.
The Mamas & Papas Cruise is not the lightest of the five prams, but it is still of a reasonable lightness at a little over 8kg. The pushchair is suitable to use up until the baby is 15kg. Like the majority of pushchairs in this post, the pushchair has an umbrella-fold. For a more comfortable ride and manoeuvrability, the pushchair has front suspension. There is also a useful peek-a-boo window to check on the little one
Mac by Maclaren M2 Pushchair
A lightweight pushchair at 5.8kg is offered by Maclaren and is suitable for young ones from 6 months up to around 3 years (or 15kg weight). The pushchair has an umbrella fold and features an easy one-handed fold down system.
