Naughty Child Names Revealed

Can the name you give your child suggest whether they will be naughty or well-behaved?

Although I do not believe this, I wouldn’t call my child Damian. Nor would I call my child Jesus – although having offspring who could turn water to wine would be a major plus in our household!

An article written on Yahoo! reveals naughty child names by highlighting there may well be a perceived association with names and behaviour. The article is commenting on a study in which 1,500 teachers, parents and children in the UK rated the top 20 names in order of well-behaved to naughty.

The participants were asked to look at the top 20 baby names, and rank them from what they perceived as best and the worst behaved, thus naughty child names.

According to the study, if you want a saintly child then go with highest-rated names for good behaviour: Isla for girls and Arthur for boys. At the bottom of the naughty list are Mia and Jack.

This article does make me chuckle because I liked both Isla (good behaviour) and Mia (naughty) as possible names for my daughter, We chose another name which isn’t listed highly on either good or bad. I’m sure it is high for intelligence!
